Issue with Adobe Flash Player 10, and Steam

Postby BlueMonster » Thu Jan 07, 2010 9:19 am

I installed Adobe Flash player 10 (run as admin) and Steam's VID on main page is GREY with a

link to Adobe Flash Player 10, I went to that link and downloaded the correct version, Still no Luck, Big Grey BOX main Steam Screen!!

I've read about it, installed re-installed tryed using Flash 10 for IE, works fine, but NOT with Firefox.

ANYONE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE??

All other web pages run Flash 10 fine with Firefox, so I'm thinking this is a Steam BUG, so load up Steam's main page (Store)

and see what you get, also if anyone knows of a FIX, please advise ;)

I think it's a Steam Bug, myself? :P

Here's what I get::

ARRGGGGG. I read what I could about the problem, I am not alone.

HELP!!

Oh BTW if you hit Help in Firefox, they have a new update 3.5.7

Also it worked fine with Flash Player 9, so going back to it may do the trick?

I did get the Firefox update this morning. Steam is working fine for me. Not sure why it wants another plug in from you? :?:

How did you install it, run or save as? It worked fine (Steam) with Flash 9, I have no clue what the deal is, It's not

the end of t6he World, and I think it will be fixed via Steam or Adobe, Adobe also has 10.1 which may work? I think it's

Beta though. I'll just wait and see what Happens, Steam knows about the issue so, I'm hoping something will be done.

Blue :?: :P

May just try Adobe Flash 9, it worked, but then Steam wants us to use a Broken 10 version. For some anyhow.

It may be in my settings as well, I'll get it fixed, one way or another. I always do.

This morning I went to Steams home page where the Grey Square used to be

and now it works!! Go Figure, I think it was a Steam thing as many folks had the issue

so it it happens to you, just wait a day or so and it should fix it'self as mine did!!

I'm a Happy camper now. :yahoo: :Bananas:
