well since i started this Monday @ 9:15AM cst but i lost count over all really. but on the case it self i know i have way more then what it should take i think.

well i thought all was going good till i went to put the cage with the vista raid drive in. it fits up in the front of the case just above the pump and in front of the 2 - 120 mm fan i put into the 5.25 bay area.

and that when it all went to sht!

even though everything else looks good yet but now that hard drive cage is now in bad need of repainting and i have no more gold paint.

and that gold paint is $8.00 a can since it is motor paint

Image

well as you can see here the case doesnt look to bad so far empty and with it together.

now with more stuff add to it as i go along.
Image Image Image Image Image

i think i will stop here since this cage is now needing something done to it, like paint.
Image

and since my left thumb and finger are in badges lol keep them away from spinning fan blads, like TT smart 2 fans for instant lol

Hmmmmm. Maybe primer wouldn't have been a bad idea. ;)

Was told by a guy I used to do building and home maintenance with, primer is what gives a coat of paint "teeth". We remodeled a small Mexican Restaurant that had that smooth FRP paneling on the walls including the kitchen. Had to clean off the grease, scuff sand, then prime and paint it. We used oil base primer and paint. When the Health Department came in to inspect, the guy asked me "who did the painting?" I told him I did. He asked what kind of paint? I said what I used and he passed the work with an "A". Man that place was a lot of work. Ceramic tile floors, with 6" backsplashes all around. Thank god for wet saws. Chris.

or if i would have just used flat black paint and rustoleum paint in the 1st place i would have been past this part all ready and would have save my self money and a few days worth in time to. i might try and place some of the lights back in yet since i do have 4 sets of those to go back in yet to.

but you could be right to maybe some primer may have help out as well. even though i have never used the stuff in all the yrs i have even painted anything.

well i got some more done before i head off to bed even though it is going on 5AM 8O

Image Image Image

the mess behind the madness lol
Image

well i still got a lot done but a lot more to go over all. like the other hard driver cage with drives and then finish off with the cable and then stuff the back side panel on.

as you can see will not be a easy task at all. now if it had about an inch more room i be set!!

well i am very close to finishing this up now. i got everything plug in now and cables ran.

i may zip tie some of them that you can see. and i got the back panel on now and it sure was not an easy task at all.

talk about shoving 20lbs of crap into a 1/2lb container !! lol looks like some of the UV lights are dieing on me as well which sucks cause they would really make it look good to.

i know i got 2 more fans coming for the radiator yet so the back panel will have to come off for that.

i am not looking forward to that at all. but painting the case black sure does make it 100 times better then it was before.

well after letting it run for a bit cause getting those wheels on wasnt easy at all.

and having it lay on its back i want to make sure there was no new air bubble in the system once again.

well on 1st try of starting it up it shut it self off, so i check the LED read out. well i guess i had to reset everything in bios for some strange reason or another.

well after 3 reboots and from adjusting the bios as well. it is up and running on its own once again. well the cpu is at stock clock right now.

since i will be putting a Q9450 in here real soon since it is here sitting in a box. all it is waiting for is for me to install a bios #17

then i will make sure all bios settings are good to go with the E6850 before i take it out.

then i will put the Q9450 in and see what it will do then. oh i got pictures of it up and running. i got 1 UV light up front of case that needs to be readjusted yet but i will shortly.

well i think i will take a break for right now and then get back at this and then flash this and then see what a quad core is all about.

thanks Chris even though it is not 100% it does look really good yet.

well i now have bios 17 and it took a bit to get it to work. it sure doesnt like a USB key board at all so got to make sure i have a PS2 key board around.

well i now have up dated my sig to show what else is new beside the paint job. a Q9450 is now in. and up and running good and at stock clock right now.

till i can figure what and how i can over clock it up some. since my vantage score is just over 15k which isnt that great over all.

well i tried to over clock this but it didnt like it at all. not sure what it was but something it didnt like since it blue screen with irq_less_or_equal but it is running at stock clocks yet just fine.

also i ran the vista thing and i now have a 5.9 cause before i had a 5.8 score cause of the dual core lol

Image

guess i will go to the correct section and ask for help and get this thing over clock. my friend said it can run 3.6ghz all day long with ease. so thats what i tried and the same cpu voltage he had used. but no go there since it didnt like it.

even when i took each of the other voltages up 1 nothc it still didnt like it since it gave me that blue screen. so i guess till then im stock at 2.67ghz

I tend to locate IRQ_LESS_Than_Equal_Too is something incorrectly set with the RAM.

Go back to your OC settings and give the MCH a little more, or even bump the DDR2 voltage .1/.2 higher and see if it changes anything. But start by using more conservative memory timings and then tighten them up after youve got the cpu bumped.
