i also notice that my 1/2" fittings were kind of showing a weird wear pattern to. i am glad that when i had money i had gotten extras.
the 2 at the bottom are worn while the 3 toward the top are brand new

ok i got my 1st coat of clear on the case now. and i am not a happy camper now :Arrgghh: the very bottom of the case in the front on the left side looks like crap now !! even though you wont be able to see it easy since the sound card and hose's will be there.

but still the fact is it looks like sh1T!!!!!!!!!! so now i am out of black paint and cash!! which is beside the never ending point!

so now what do i leave it and hope it goes away in the morning when the clear drys or try and save it? but to save it and how since i ran out of cash to buy more paint with now. i do have another way of hiding it since i do have these replacement side mirror Plexiglas incerts that you can cut to fit.

which i have a nice size piece yet that could maybe fit that section and cover it up so you cant see it. but the fact is it is there and i know it. and some other areas dont look to well either.

well i just came back from the garage and it didnt look so good. so i end up sanding the bottom of the case down some and a few trouble spots i saw.i used some 220 grit since thats all i had other wise 80 grit is the next finest lol.

i did fine that i had 1 can of gloss black left so i hope it will be enough to cover up what i sand tonight.

well i did bring in the other hard drive cage and the 1 pci slot cover which i use for my switch holder for my uv lights.

but my drive cage didnt do to well when i tried to slide or force the drives back into it as you can see from the picture, doh! at least it is not that noticeable and it will be covered up by the front door to.

these look pretty good so far just wish the case came out as so to.

. i did hook up a fan to it as well and i am using my psu tester i have to make the psu work.

instead of the jump the psu to turn it on. this way it is a lot safer and i can check to make sure my new but small 350watt is still good yet at the same time to.

uhm the 12volt is just under it is at 11.9volt on both 12 volt rails. thats not good but it doesnt get used for anything else but this.

and as for my case it seem the sanding worked the bottom is looking good now. and so i turn it to the very bottom of the case so i can get the bottom side were the wheels go at.

since it need it to and a good coat as well. it will only get 2 lite coats of paint and then clear coat.

i will have to string it up to finish the inside of the case since i dont want to mess the bottom of the case up any.

since i had that done once i will get them out and ready to do once again.

That's a lot of stuff to go back into that case. But then you won't have to mess with if for at least a year or two. Maybe.

Looking good, Scavy! Chris.

or 3 or 4 or more rofl!!

but yeah i know what ye mean there Chris. i just hope this time the paint on the case takes and takes for good. so far it look like it did this time after i had to basically remove most of it off of the bottom inside where it was all sorts of mes up.

right now it looks real god but it looks like there is a crack running across the width down there which i will let slide. since it is a lot better then what it was before let me tell ya even though i am not 100% with the way it looks like over all yet.

but i can only make do with what i have and i have to make it go as far as i can ya now. i just wish now i would had spent the extra cash on some rustolem gloss black paint now cause there clear coat stuff is great. this cheap-o walmart brand paint is not really cutting it.

not to my full standards thats full sure. and since i am really feeing for some gaming as it is i want to get it back together. and not wait another wk plus! and wait to get paid to buy better grade paint and start all over on the case so it meets my standard ya know. caue i want this to look 110%

and right now i would say it is around 45% and that is done right bad and i am shame of it and to let it go this way to boot. but the gamer in me want toPLAY lol

well the bottom of the case still turn out like crap and then the section where the mobo mounts to also decide it want to join in on the fun to.

so after chatting with me good friend i decide to start over and instead of gloss black i will go with flat black and use good paint this time.

right now here is some pictures of what paint looks like after you peel it off when it doesnt want to stay.

Image

then after coming back from walmart i got a can of this stuff which did a great job of lifting the paint right off the case.

wish i got 1 more can of it and got the rest of the case but i just want to get what will be seen anyways.

Image Image Image Image Image

now all i will do in the morning is make sure it is dry and wipe it down with some paint thinner to make sure there is no residue on the case.

so that way i know for sure the paint will stick since it is all ready ruff sand. now if thermaltake would have paint the inside all ready i would not have to be doing this.

cause it would have been done all ready and saved me a lot of cash and time. but i guess they are not the brightest crayon in the box after all rofl!!

Yes thats looking good and whats the hour count upto. I know what you mean when something doesn't come out as "prefect", cause if you don't sort it you always look at it and wonder why didn't I fix that at the time.
